Hot water tank installation and replacement are not as difficult as some might think. But you should remember that you would need to do some simple plumbing as well as construction wiring before undertaking the work. If you are worried about these types of jobs, you can call a lot of trustworthy companies for hot water tank installation and replacement. Before they need to be replaced, hot water tanks tend to only last 8 to 10 years. Leakage can be fixed several times. Your only choice, however, is to repair the water heater if you think the cause of the leak is from the tank itself.

Step 1

Switch the power off on the circuit breaker board of the water heater. To make sure that the system is off, check the hot water tank wiring with a voltage tester.

Step 2

Open a hot water spigot and enable until it is cool to run the water. Shut off the flow of cold water to the water heater. Attach a pipe to the drain valve of the water heater. Open a valve and empty the outside of the tank. The T&P valve can be opened, too. By letting air into the tank, this will help the water to drain more easily.

Step 3

On the peak of a water heater, detach the electric cables. Make sure you first turn off the circuit breaker in the circuit breaker. Then, inspect the connections with a voltage analyser before starting. When you pair up the freshwater heater, cap off the cables and mark them to prevent any potential misunderstanding.

Step 4

Detach the pipes to provide hot and cold water. You may have to split the tubes if your hot water tank has been bridged with copper piping. Use a tube cutter if you need to remove the tubes, and retain as much of the tube as practicable.

Step 5

Remove the old water heater with a dolly until the tank is empty. Shift into place the new tank. We suggest that the new tank be inserted into a drain pan. Check that the tank can properly meet your power connection. Double verify that the boards and the piping system can be reached for repair.

Step 6

If you were using copper tubing in the old water heater and it was important to cut the tubing, you’ll have to use sandpaper sheet to prepare the pipes. On the ends of the tubing, rub the sandpaper sheet until it shines brightly.

Step 7

To control the electrical wires, detach the junction box cover. To the green ground screw, connect the ground wire. By turning them with wire connections, link the other wires together. Link the supply lines for hot and cold water. Be sure that the cold-water tube on the water heater is connected to the cold-water inlet. Fasten the flexible nozzles on the hot water tank to the tips.

Step 8

Connect the T&P valve with the discharge pipe. Switch on the power switch in the major power box after the hot water tank has filled with water.
